Welcome to our Blog
Welcome to the Kes-Vir Blog. Let me introduce myself, I’m Daksha and I live in Berkshire. I have a beautiful family with husband of 30+ years. We have two children, a son and daughter. My son and daughter-in-law are married and have a beautiful son. As well as having a loving family, I am the founder of Incy Wincy Ltd and creator of Kes-Vir Swimwear for incontinence sufferers.
Our bloggers are two ladies are Urmila Mistry and Manjula Mistry. I have known these ladies all their lives, but all our life experiences could not be more different. Over the years we have shared our dilemmas, difficulties and reminisce about the good times too. Listening to their stories made me wonder how many families out their must be going through what they are. Recently I manage to convince them to share their experiences, their difficulties, their good times too.
We hope our blog will help many families to realise that they are not alone in what they are going through, there are people out there, just like them, struggling. We also hope that our blogs will make people in authority and healthcare workers, aware of the impact that they have on the people they are helping, in positive and negative ways. We hope they realise the processes that are in place do help some families, but one size fits all are not the best policy. Some families’ lives have been impacted negatively and, in some cases, their lives have been turned upside down. We hope that they listen to what we have to say and that they take into account the difficulties some families are facing because the system and processes are not flexible enough to deal with the different needs of each family. The change needs to happen now.
Urmila and Manjula are both professional women who have worked hard to get where they are in their careers. Their stories are hugely different but one thing they have in common is difficulties they have faced raising their families. Urmila and Manjula, will talk about Adoption, Autism, Down Syndrome and the processes and the challenges they have faced in the last 15 and 21 years, respectively.
We hope you will engage with them and ask questions or share your thoughts and experience. We will all be available to answer your questions and help with advice.
I look forward to sharing our blog with you.
